Il Dubbing di Kapok è uno dei materiali migliori per costruire mosche secche. Dall'aspetto molto simile al fiocco di cotone ha però un peso specifico più basso, le sue fibre sono molto fini, si asciugano velocemente e sono facili da avvolgere sul filo di montaggio. La loro struttura, inoltre, non trattiene l'acqua rendedole praticamente idrofobiche.
