The Company

Textreme was born in 2005 as a branch of Filtex, founded in 1965 in the textile district of Biella and specialized in the production of high-fashion yarns for the textile, fashion, and interior design industries. The goal was to consolidate and develop the parent company's partial presence in the fly fishing sector, which had been producing construction materials since the 1970s that later became absolute standards in the industry, including the first Cactus and, subsequently, the Long Hairs and Braids, produced at that time on specific commissions from Italian and foreign companies operating in the sector.

Textreme is synonymous with synthetic materials and, above all, spool yarns.

The range currently offered includes over 800 spool yarn variants and over 1200 synthetic materials including chenilles, long hairs, braids, mylar, technical yarns, synthetic and metallic filaments, covering the most diverse needs of the modern fly tyer.

Textreme's philosophy is based on direct production, entirely within its own facility, of all products in the catalog, which is today among the most complete in the synthetic materials sector, capable of meeting the construction needs for stream, lake, and saltwater flies.

The Textreme staff, composed of specialized technicians and workers, oversees the manufacturing stages daily within the facility, from raw material to finished product. Only the dyeing phase is carried out externally, and is entrusted to certified and specialized companies in order to achieve maximum color reproduction consistency in every batch and maximum environmental protection, particularly the safeguarding of groundwater, thanks to their modern water purification systems.

Packaging, storage, and shipping are also carried out entirely within the Textreme facility. All stages of our production cycle are therefore, and this is a source of great pride for us, completely Made in Italy.

But that's not all: the textile components, plastics, cardboard, and packaging accessories all come from Italian and European manufacturers, in full compliance with the strict EU regulations governing production processes and, above all, environmental protection, which is one of our long-term objectives.

Quality control during every phase is extremely rigorous: any defect or imperfection detected during the manufacturing stages is promptly eliminated to guarantee maximum satisfaction for our customers with products that perform consistently in every package. Nothing is left to chance.

Attention to detail, from the design and development of each product, through excellent dyeing, to the creation of packaging optimized for the needs of retailers and end consumers, contributes to achieving a final product quality among the highest on the market and recognized worldwide.

The constant investment in research and development of the materials offered, and the study and optimization of the color range of each one, are the result of Textreme's close collaboration with its Italian and international partners, as well as the technical contribution of the official Team members who play an important role in the field testing phase of our products.

In every production choice, we always keep in mind the suggestions from fly tyers: indeed, many of the items in our catalog were developed starting from specific requests by end consumers, in search of a more effective product than those available on the market at the time.

Providing a final product of the highest standard: this is our goal today, as it has always been in the past.
